Inside one of Our Witchy Dinner Party Ideas: 12 Women, Hot Pot + a Little Alstelle

Sometimes the best nights don't happen at a restaurant.

They happen when you move some furniture around, pull out everything you've collected over the years, invite 12 women over, put food in the middle of the table, and stay there for hours.

For our latest celebration, we transformed home into a cozy, slightly witchy dinner party built around good food, friendship, and the little details that make an evening feel special.

And, naturally, there was a little Alstelle involved.

Start With What You Already Have

Creating an atmosphere doesn't always require buying an entirely new room's worth of decorations.

We started with the house itself and layered in pieces that changed the mood: greenery, darker tableware, candles, old books, witchy details, seasonal pieces and textures we already owned.

Instead of trying to make everything perfectly matching, we let it feel collected.

The result felt much more like walking into someone's world than walking into a party supply store.

And that's exactly what we wanted.

Put the Experience in the Middle of the Table

Dinner was hot pot, which might be one of our favorite ways to feed a group.

Rather than serving everyone individually and spending the evening running back and forth from the kitchen, the meal became part of the entertainment.

Pots went down the center of the table surrounded by vegetables, proteins, broths, rice, sauces and everything everyone needed to build their own dinner.

Everyone cooked together. Everyone tried different combinations. Everyone stayed at the table.

There was plenty of colorful, fresh food, but what we loved most wasn't trying to make dinner into a "wellness" moment.

It was simply gathering around a meal that felt abundant, interactive and worth slowing down for.

Because taking care of yourself can look like a skincare ritual.

It can also look like eating something you enjoy at a table full of people you love.

Give Them Something to Take Home

Of course, we couldn't host 12 women without sneaking an Alstelle ritual into the evening.

Each guest received a mini Scalp + Hair Strengthening Oil as a party favor, a small piece of the night they could take home and work into their own routine.

We love favors that people will actually use.

A beautiful dinner eventually ends. The candles get blown out. The dishes somehow multiply overnight. 😂

But sending someone home with a little ritual gives the experience one more life after the party is over.

Don't Make Perfect the Goal

The table got messy.

People moved chairs.

Food disappeared.

Glasses accumulated.

Everyone talked over each other.

And that's exactly what a dinner party is supposed to look like.

The goal wasn't to create a perfect tablescape that stayed untouched all evening. It was to create a beautiful space that people could actually live in.

That's something we've been thinking about a lot lately at Alstelle.

Your home can be part of your ritual.

So can getting dressed, preparing dinner, taking care of your hair, inviting your friends over, lighting the candles you've been saving, or finally using the dishes you usually reserve for something special.

The special occasion can simply be that everyone made it to the table.

Set the table. Feed your people. Give them something beautiful to take home.

Choose Your Ritual.
